Dearest Christine, carissima Christine, as you liked to say in Italian. You and I met 44 years ago and have all these long years treasured our wonderful friendship. We shared our respective hard times and good times with laughters, tears and smiles. We enjoyed our many travels throughout Italy, your soul country as you used to say, and England. I can easily picture you driving your magnificent MG all around Hampshire, both of us with the feeling we were in a movie. "Unfortunately life did not treat you gently, nevertheless you always managed to cope with its large and small adversities with the emotional strength of a true warrior, teaching all of us to love life regardless. Goodbye my darling friend, I shall miss you a lot.
